Form of Government

Sikeston is a City of the third class operating under the home rule charter form of government. The Sikeston City Council is composed of four ward members and 2 at-large representatives. Council elections are held in April of each year.

The City Council meets in regular session at 5:00 p.m. on the first Monday of each month in Council Chambers of Sikeston City Hall, 105 East Center Street. Proposed agenda items should be submitted to the Sikeston City Manager, (573) 471-2512.
